Bantayan Island Travel Guide for Families

Before you continue reading, I would like to emphasize that this is not a budget trip. This travel guide is intended for families vacationing with toddlers and/or senior citizens in tow. Unlike your usual barkada or couple trips, traveling with them will make you choose comfort over savings and rest over adventure. 🙂

Budget Breakdown: 5 Days and 4 Nights in Bantayan Island, Cebu

Traveling with friends is a lot different from traveling with your family, especially when there are toddlers and senior citizens. You can’t always choose what’s practical, you also have to consider the level of comfort. Despite this, my family and I (composed of 4 adults, 2 toddlers and 2 senior citizens) managed to spend less than P55,000 ALL-IN during our trip to Bantayan Island, Cebu last May. See our budget breakdown below.

Summer! There’s no better way to beat the Manila heat than to retreat to the seas and chill by the beach. Lucky for us Filipinos, we have so many options when it comes to pretty beaches, thanks to our (now) 7,500 islands or so. A few weeks ago, my friends and I welcomed the heat wave and went on a 6-day trip where we visited the bewitching island of Siquijor, swam with the whale sharks in Oslob, and marvelled at the wonderful marine life in Moalboal.
